Dave Kennedy was obviously really psyched to show the world how multi-track recording worked. What’s absolutely fascinating is that–as the story goes–he really did record “All By Myself” all by (him)self. According to the blog of WFMU, from which this track was taken, “Kennedy plays trumpet, trombone, vibes, piano, flute, piccolo, drums, bass, saxophone, guitar, and perhaps most impressive to me, an entire violin string section!” More here.
